Why use HappyGarden colored wood chips?

Color beautifies the garden.  When using ground material in the garden as mulch or decoration, one’s choices are limited to a uniform brown color.  That is, until now.  HappyGarden colored wood chips were developed to give garden owners the ability to decorate their gardens with a wide range of colors.

Where can you use HappyGarden colored wood chips?

The ideal setting is in the landscape or garden.  However, it is suitable for potted plants and indoor use.

How long do HappyGarden coloured wood chips maintain their color?

Coloured wood chips decompose much more slowly than other mulches.  The color remains vibrant throughout the entire season.

What are HappyGarden colored wood chips made of?

The raw material used for HappyGarden colored wood chips come from domestic wood sources such as spruce, fir, and larch.  The fresh material is harvested, debarked, reduced to 10 to 40 mm, and sorted.  This basic material is then colored using a special procedure.

Are the colorants safe?

The colorants are absolutely safe.  The main components of the colorants are iron oxides that occur naturally in the soil, and are not ground water endangering.  The colorants meet the same standards as those used for dyeing toys.  This was proven through a variety of tests performed by the TUEV Vienna, TUEV Munich, and the professional school Weihenstiphan.

Are HappyGarden colored wood chips suitable as a mulch material?

HappyGarden colored wood chips make excellent mulch.  It suppresses weeds, prevents soil erosion, and protects the soil from large variations in temperature.  The soil pH is minimally affected by the wood chips.  The chips do not compact the ground and ensure proper aeration.  HappyGarden colored wood chips are suitable to use as mulch with any plants.

In which colors will HappyGarden colored wood chips be produced?

At this time, we produce the material in four attractive colors:  yellow, orange, red, and brown.  Bags are available in the German language for German language areas, but are also available in a multi-language version with product description and product declaration in the following languages:  German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Greek, and Arabic.  There are 36 bags per pallet.
